King Mohammed VI issued a pardon on the occasion of Eid al-Adha for 979 people, some of whom are in detention and others at large, who have been sentenced by various courts in the kingdom, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Justice.
On the occasion of Eid al-Adha this year 1443 AH - 2022 AD, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, honors, with his beauty, a group of people sentenced by the various courts of the Kingdom. The number of these people is 979 and they are as follows:

* The beneficiaries of the arrested royal pardon are 834 detainees, distributed as follows:
Allow the remainder of the prison sentence or isolation in favor of 09 detainees.
Reducing imprisonment or isolation sentences for 818 detainees.
- Life sentence commuted to life for 07 detainees.
* The beneficiaries of the free royal pardon are 134 people, distributed as follows:
- Pardon the prison sentence or the remainder for the benefit of 21 people.
Pardon the prison sentence while maintaining the fine for 07 persons.
Pardon the fine for 104 persons.
- Amnesty for imprisonment and a fine in favor of 02 persons.
On this glorious occasion, His Majesty the King, may God protect him, honors the prisoners convicted in cases of extremism and terrorism who obtained royal approval after they officially expressed their connection to the nation's constants and sanctity.

- Blessing on the remainder of the prison sentence in favor of 03 detainees.
- Blessing on the remainder of the prison sentence and a fine in favor of 05 detainees.

Reducing the life sentence to a deferred sentence in favor of (01) detainees.
