The Nigerian women’s football team qualified for the semi-finals of the African Nations Cup for Women, “Morocco 2022”, after beating its Cameroonian counterpart 1-0 in the match that brought them together, Thursday evening, at the Mohammed V Sports Complex on Casablanca, in a quarter-final match.

The only goal in the match was scored by Rashidat Adeabadi, in the 56th minute. Nigeria snatched the ticket to the 2023 World Cup, to be organized jointly between Australia and New Zealand next year.
In the semi-final match, Nigeria will face the Moroccan team, which qualified for the semi-finals after beating its Botswana counterpart 2-1, in the meeting that brought them together yesterday evening, Wednesday, on the floor of the Prince Moulay Abdallah sports complex in Rabat.
