The Ittihad Riadi Club of Tangier (IRT), football section, presented, on Saturday evening, the new coach of the team, Badou Zaki, who signed a contract for four seasons, with a view to building a "competitive team ".
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Zaki stressed that the contract he signed with the Detroit Club sets annual objectives, noting that he will work, during the first year, to build a competitive team and allow the team to have a good ranking.
He noted that he will strive, during the other seasons, to obtain results that will delight the supporters of the Tangier team, stressing that the constitution of a competitive team will enable him to qualify for the African championships or the Arab Cup.
"I received a reasonable offer from Ittihad of Tangier to build a competitive team over four years, an ambitious project that encourages me to help promote the team, which has had difficult seasons," he said. he adds.
After praising the support of the IRT supporters, Mr. Zaki asked them to understand the financial and transfer situation, as well as the problems facing the team, and to "be patient". Badou Zaki, who holds a position with the National Technical Directorate of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), previously coached the IRT in 2017, where he played 12 games, including two wins, eight draws, and two defeats.
