Moroccan rider Jad El Karaoui won the individual silver medal at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany, by achieving a clear double round in the individual event, the Royal Moroccan Equestrian Federation announced on Sunday.

The runner excelled against 30 young riders, aged between 15 and 18, who rode the horses available for the competition by lottery, the federation said in a press release.
Gad El-Karawy also won the team's bronze medal last Thursday for Africa, along with young riders from South Africa, Egypt, Tunisia, and Zimbabwe, according to the same source.
At just 15 years old, the rider performed exceptionally well, accompanied by assistant coach Thierry Klein, at the Youth Equestrian Games. Multiple medalists in showjumping and dressage in the Moroccan championship, Jad El Karaoui has been riding since he was seven years old.
The FEI Youth Equestrian Games were held exceptionally this year, replacing the Youth Olympic Games originally scheduled for 2022 and postponed to 2026. This unprecedented event took place alongside the legendary CHIO in Aachen from 23 June to 3 July.
