On Tuesday, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad Nasser Bourita held talks with the Personal Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General for the Moroccan Sahara, Staffan de Mistura.
These talks took place in the presence of the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Morocco to the United Nations, Omar Hilal, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans living abroad.

On this occasion, the Moroccan delegation recalled the constants of Morocco's position, as affirmed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, in his speech on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the Green March, on November 6, 2021, for a political solution, based exclusively on the Moroccan initiative for autonomy, within the framework of national sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom.
The Moroccan delegation also renewed Morocco's commitment to the political process of the Round Tables, in accordance with Resolution 2602, which calls for a "realistic, practical, lasting and based on settlements" political solution to the regional dispute over the Sahara. Press release.
