The Kingdom of Morocco announces the restart of combined cycle power plants in Tahadrat and Ain Beni Mathar using liquefied natural gas imported from the international market.

A press release issued by the National Office for Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) and the National Office for Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) on Tuesday notes that the supply of these two plants with natural gas is ensured through the Maghreb-European gas pipeline via the gas link between Morocco and Spain operating in reverse flow mode.
Therefore, the Kingdom of Morocco guarantees its supply of natural gas by concluding contracts for the purchase of LNG on the international market and by using the gas infrastructure of Spanish operators and the Maghreb-European gas pipeline, the source identifies itself.
