Emphasizing the commitment of the Confederation of African Football to adhere to and comply with global best practices in governance, auditing, ethics, transparency, financing, and management, he indicated that each member association will receive one million US dollars annually, which will be withdrawn from the Premier League. funds.


In addition, US$50 million will be allocated to CAF, drawn from this same money, to develop youth and women's football and for all other competitions and ensure it is globally competitive.


Mr. Motsepe welcomed the progress made under the CAF Africa School of Football Championship. He announced that CAF intends to use a donation of US$10 million from the Motsepe Foundation as a reward for the development of school and educational football infrastructure.


He said that CAF has made good progress since the 43rd Ordinary and Optional General Assembly and is laying a solid foundation for African football to be globally competitive and self-sufficient, explaining that this solid foundation is built on the “CAF Action Plan 2021-2025” formulated by the new management under which the conduct of Certain fundamental changes and reforms to make African football one of the best in the world.
