Regional development: soon new logistic areas in 4 regions |

In response to an oral question submitted by the National Rally of Independents to the House of Councilors about "the implementation of support procedures and the content of the report of the new development model in the field of logistics," Abdel Jalil explained that work is underway.

The National Strategy for the Development of Logistics Competitiveness identified in particular five axes, ambitious goals, and organized workshops for the year 2030 to place the Kingdom in global logistics chains.
He explained that this strategy mainly aims to develop logistics areas, rationalize the movement of goods, encourage the emergence of integrated players, develop and diversify professional skills, and ensure good governance of the sector.
Abdul Jalil referred to the measures recommended by the new development model and the Audit Bureau to raise the performance indicators for this sector, which aim in particular to "correct the main imbalances that harm the competitiveness of the sector" through the establishment of new governance.
The structuring of logistics flows, the promotion of small business conglomerates, the emergence of national and regional leaders, and the development of multimodal transport.
The minister stressed that the logistics sector is receiving great attention from the government, given its primary role as a lever to promote the Kingdom's economic growth and its position as a preferred destination for investors.
