Good news for the basket. The British company took stock of the excess gas it considers available on the "Anchor" field, located off Larache.

After drilling the Anchors-2 well, Netherland Sewell & Associates (NSAI) prepared an evaluation of Anchors and various other exploration prospects in the Lixus and Rissana licenses.
In a press release published on July 20, the company focused on energy transition in Africa, Chariot, pointed out that after certification, the gas resources of the Anchors field in the Larache region have been revised upwards.
According to Netherland Sewell and Associates Inc., an independent evaluation of the Anshua gas field has been completed.
Thus, this upgrade will push the company to accelerate its development plans in the field, adding the same source.
Chariot will also focus on developing this important energy resource, "prioritizing increasing demand in Morocco's domestic market, and possibly supplying Europe with excess gas."
Chariot, through its subsidiary Chariot Oil & Gas Holdings (Morocco) Ltd., holds a 75% stake in the operation of Lixus, in partnership with the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) which holds a stake of 25%.
